Our Story & Mission

Built for
Africa.

Across Africa, millions of children graduate without ever touching a circuit, writing a line of code, or solving a real engineering challenge. Not because they lack ability — because no one built a curriculum for them.

We built Teknubi to change that.

Mission

Where We Come From

The problem was visible. Nobody was building a solution.

Schools that wanted to offer STEM were bringing in third-party providers who arrived with a laptop and projector, ran basic sessions, and left — with no curriculum, no progress tracking, and no accountability.

Schools had no visibility. Parents had no insight. Teachers had no support. Students were learning surface-level skills with no connection to the real world they were growing into.

We built Teknubi to solve every single one of those problems at once. A complete, progressive curriculum. Real-time tracking. Ongoing teacher support. Technical depth that goes all the way to Python, robotics, data science, and AI.

What We Stand For

Our values, not our vibes.

Students First, Always

Every curriculum decision, platform feature, and partnership starts with the same question: does this make learning better for the student?

Built for Africa

We build for the African classroom with the context, constraints, and ambitions of this continent in mind.

Depth Over Optics

Real understanding — not the appearance of learning — is what prepares a student for what comes next.

Educators Are Partners

A confident, supported teacher creates a fearless, thriving student. We invest in every educator we work with.

We Care About the Outcome

We are satisfied when a student builds something they are genuinely proud of — and knows exactly what to build next.

Our Philosophy

Six things we believe about education.

These are not marketing statements. They are the convictions that drove every design decision we have ever made.

01

Every child is naturally curious.

Curiosity is not a talent — it is a factory setting. The job of education is to protect it from being switched off by boredom, irrelevance, and low expectations.

02

Failure is the curriculum.

The most important things students learn in a STEM classroom are the habits: test, fail, learn, try again. Those habits are what careers — and lives — are built on.

03

Teachers are the multiplier.

The best curriculum in the world, delivered by a teacher who feels unsupported, will underperform every time. Invest in the teacher and you multiply the impact.

04

Relevance is not optional.

"When will I ever use this?" is the most important question a student can ask. A curriculum that cannot answer it has already failed them.

05

Africa is not behind — it is early.

The schools that equip their students with real technical skills today will produce the engineers, founders, and scientists who define Africa's technological future.

06

Hands beat slides every time.

A student who builds a robot remembers it for ten years. A student who watched a slideshow about it forgets by Thursday. Building is the only pedagogy that sticks.

How We Work

Our approach to every school
we work with.

01

Listen first

We ask about your timetable, teachers, students, and goals before we recommend anything.

02

Build together

We train your educators, support them through the year, and adapt as we go.

03

Measure everything

Every student tracked. Every school gets a dashboard. Every term, you see exactly what was learned.

04

Grow with you

Most schools start with a bootcamp. Within a year, many adopt the full subject model.

05

Think regionally

Building for Kenya today and East Africa tomorrow. Every school is part of a larger mission.

06

Care about outcomes

We are satisfied when a student builds something they are genuinely proud of.
